Ted Lasso Filming Locations in Richmond

image of Richmond Bridge

The Richmond area in southwest London is where the show is set, and it’s also where much of it was filmed.

Richmond Station is on the Overground, District Line, and Southwest Railway, so pick the route that’s easiest for you using Google Maps or Citymapper.

Once you arrive in Richmond, use the map above to guide you to all of the Ted Lasso filming locations in Richmond and beyond. Richmond is where the most iconic locations of the show were shot, including Ted’s street, the pub, and Richmond Green.

1. Ted Lasso Pub Location: The Prince’s Head

The Prince’s Head on Richmond Green was transformed into the exterior of Mae’s Crown & Anchor for the series. So many iconic scenes were shot here outside the pub, there’s too many to count!

Ps…they don’t shoot interior pub scenes here – they built a pub on set at West London Film Studios – so the inside looks different to the show.

2. Ted’s Home: Paved Court

The exteriors of Ted’s home and neighborhood were filmed in Paved Court, a quaint little alleyway in Richmond. You’ll recognize so many scenes of Ted and Beard here, and it’s such a cute Instagram-worthy street!

Ted’s flat is 9 1/2 Paved Court, but this is a private residence, so please be respectful. Interiors of Ted’s home were filmed elsewhere.

3. Richmond Green

Opposite the famous pub where so many poignant scenes take place is this lovely green, and you’ll recognize it from so many scenes in the show, including Ted’s daily walk to work.

When Ted’s son is playing with the female footballer while he says a tearful goodbye to his wife? That was filmed right here. You might cry just being here.

4. Richmond Park

Richmond Park is vast, and was used often in the filming of Ted Lasso.

When Roy Kent is coaching his niece’s football team, when Ted sees talented buskers, and when he’s dribbled around by a talented female footballer – that’s all filmed right here.

5. The Dentist Hunt: Old Palace Court

Roy, Keeley, and Phoebe go for a Christmas Day dentist hunt along this posh residential street in Richmond, (a.k.a. Roy’s “stupid posh neighborhood”).

6. The “Love Actually” Scene: Church Walk

When Phoebe, Roy and Keeley confront Bernard ‘Love Actually-style’ (S2E4), it happened right here. This is a private residence; please be respectful of privacy.

7. Keeley’s Lion Photo Shoot: Richmond Hill Viewing Point

photo of the view from the Richmond Hill Viewing point looking over the Thames River

Remember the infamous photo of Ted feeding Keeley during her photo shoot (S1E2)? That photo shoot scene was filmed right here, on this gorgeous lookout over the Thames. The exact spot is nearest to the Richmond Hill viewing point on the map above.

8. Sewer Dive: Richmond War Memorial

In the premiere of S3, when Ted takes the team down into the sewer and they’re photographed doing so, they enter into a (fictional) man hole in this location in the street. The manhole isn’t actually there, but if it were, it would be right near the Richmond War Memorial.

You can’t tour the particular underground location where Ted Lasso filmed, but there are sewer-related locations open to the public by Thames Water Heritage Sites, and they have incredible Victorian ironworks showcased.

9. Riverside Scenes: Richmond Bridge & Twickenham Bridge

The banks of the River Thames flowing through Richmond were used as the backdrop for many riverside scenes in the show.

When Roy and Keeley go on their first date and are papped, when Keeley meets Jamie to discuss Ted’s coaching in S1, and basically any scene with a smaller bridge in the background – that was filmed next to Richmond Bridge or Twickenham Bridge.

10. The Gala: Richmond Theatre

During the infamous Gala episode (S1E4), exterior shots were filmed outside The Richmond Theatre. Quite a few poignant moments happened outside this historic theatre.

Interiors were shot elsewhere, further down this list.

Ted Lasso Filming Locations: Stadiums & Football Pitches

So many different stadiums and local pitches were used to film this show, you know I had to list them all! Some stadiums stand in for different ones, and some used CGI to transform the details, so they might not look exactly the same as they did in the show.

image of football stadium with text "stadiums"

11. Training Field: SkyEx Community Stadium

Is it practice? Is it training?

So much of Ted Lasso happens here at the fictional home practice pitch for Richmond FC, and the real home of Hayes & Yeading FC.

Exterior shots when the players are training, parking lot scenes (of which there are a lot!), and scenes where Rebecca pokes her head out of her “office” window were filmed here.

Interiors of the club’s practice pitch were filmed mostly on a soundstage, which is actually right next door at West London Film Studios. It sure made for convenient and cost-effective filming!

You’ll need to score tickets to a Hayes & Yeading United FC match to get inside the stadium.

12. Richmond FC Home Game Pitch: Selhurst Park

interior of Selhurst park, used in the filming of Ted Lasso, with the red and blue stadium seats

When we see home matches being played, it’s filmed right here at the real home of Crystal Palace FC. But as Ted says, “a palace made out of crystal seems mighty fragile to me.”

Selhurst Park stands in for Nelson Road in the show, the home match stadium of Richmond FC. You’ll recognize the iconic red and blue seats in the stands.

Score tickets to a Crystal Palace home match to experience the movie magic of this spot.

13. Wembley Stadium

At the end of S2, Richmond puts up a fight in the FA Cup Semi-Final, and that was filmed right here at Wembley. There are year-round events here, including big concerts, so you don’t need to be a footie fan to experience this iconic London landmark.

14. Chelsea Match: Stamford Bridge

Richmond plays Chelsea FC in S3, and those scenes were filmed in the real home pitch of Chelsea: Stamford Bridge.

You don’t need (expensive, impossible to get) match tickets to tour the stadium, though, as Chelsea offers tours!

15. West Ham: London Stadium

When Richmond faces off against West Ham in S3, they played at the real home of West Ham!

This stadium was formerly the Olympic Stadium used when London hosted the olympics in 2012, and it hosts year round events.

16. Liverpool In London: Craven Cottage

Exteriors of Craven Cottage (the real home of Fulham FC) were used in S1 to portray the home pitch of Everton. So, not actually filmed in Liverpool!

Craven is historic as the oldest football pitch in London.

Ted Lasso Filming Locations in Twickenham

Across the Thames, neighboring to Richmond, is the neighborhood of Twickenham, and filming spread out all over South West London for Ted Lasso. Here are all the Ted Lasso filming locations in Twickenham.

17. Roy & Keeley’s Bench: Eel Pie Island

view of the embankment on eel pie island, used for Ted Lasso film location

The poignant scene of Roy, Keeley and Phoebe on the bench was filmed at this scenic spot near the Twickenham Rowing Club overlooking the river on Eel Pie Island.

Eel Pie Island became infamous in the 50s and 60s for its iconic music scene, which is ironic, since some of the greats that soundtrack the show (like the Rolling Stones) played here.

18. “Dolls of England”: Mojo

When Rebecca and her goddaughter Nora go shopping for dolls, it was filmed in this small boutique called Mojo in Twickenham. But it doesn’t actually sell dolls; it’s more of a lifestyle shop.

19. Phoebe’s School: Orleans Primary School

Roy Kent is a doting uncle to Phoebe, and in S1E3, Ted joins him for a visit to his niece’s primary school. It was filmed in this school, as were other exteriors of Roy visiting the school. I couldn’t find whether the interiors were shot here or not.

This is a working school; no visitors.

20. Funeral: Strawberry Hill House

The outdoor shots of Rebecca’s dad’s funeral were shot here in Twickenham, while the interiors of the service were shot at St. Andrew’s Church in Kingsbury, also on this map.

London Filming Locations: Character Homes

I’ve mentioned the most iconic home in Ted Lasso above, but what about the other prominent characters? Where do they (fictionally) live?

image of English houses with text "houses" with blue background

21. Rebecca’s Home: Pembroke Villas, Richmond

Exteriors of Rebecca’s incredible house were filmed at this (very posh) dwelling. Richmond is one of the most expensive suburbs of London and also one of the safest, so it’s no surprise that Rebecca both lives and works there.

1 Pembroke Villas is a private home; please be respectful of privacy.

22. Nate’s Family Home: Portland Terrace, Richmond

Exteriors for Nathan’s family home were filmed at the end of Portland Terrace.

These are private homes; please be respectful of privacy.

Ted Lasso Locations: Restaurants, Pubs & Bars

So much happens in this show at restaurants, bars, and pubs. Let’s take a look at where it was all really filmed, and if you can eat there in real life.

image of pub exterior with red phone booths with text: "restaurants"

23. A Taste of Athens: Mediterraneo, Notting Hill

This fictional Greek restaurant is a big part of Nate’s storyline, especially in S3. You’ll find the real filming location not in the Richmond area, but in Notting Hill.

It’s a mediterranean restaurant, though it seems like they used risers for the coveted window table in the show, as the interior isn’t quite the same.

24. Sam’s Restaurant: Daquise

Sam’s Richmond restaurant was actually filmed in Kensington. The restaurant Daquise served as Sam’s beloved Ola’s, and you can eat there today (though it’s not Nigerian but Polish).

25. Roy’s Kebab Place: Embassy Cafe

Roy’s “religious” kebab spot is a real restaurant in Mortimer Square near Notting Hill. You won’t find kebabs on the menu, though. It’s an English-style greasy spoon.

26. Coffee Shop: Oli & Ben

The cafe where Keeley and Jack meet up (a ring in the croissant ring any bells?) is a real restaurant in Richmond. I’m fairly sure they used this coffee shop for other scenes, too, though I had a hard time finding them.

27. Double Date: Gaucho Richmond

In S2E1, when Keeley and Roy join Rebecca and John for a double date, interiors and exteriors were filmed at this restaurant that you can eat in!

28. Chango Empanadas Richmond

This empanadas place in Richmond is actually an empanadas restaurant you can visit! And they’re delicious.

Anytime Ted walks out of his home and down Paved Court, you’ll see this unchanged location in film.

29. Jade & Nate’s First Date: Tapas Brindisa Richmond

Nate takes Jade to this tapas place on their first date. My verdict is still out on Jade, and Nate, to be honest. But this is a real filming location that you can eat in today.

30. Afternoon Tea: Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery

Rebecca and her goddaughter Nora have tea in S2E3 at this former home of Sir John Soane, which is now a museum and gallery open to the public.

Soane was one of the most famous architects in England.

31. American Restaurant in “Amsterdam”: Sheraton Heathrow Sports Bar

In S3 when Ted may or may not have been high from mushroom tea, this sports bar stands in for the typical “American” sports bar in Amsterdam. It’s a real sports bar, though!

Ted Lasso Film Locations: Iconic London

image of tower bridge with text "iconic london"

32. Tower Bridge

One of the most iconic London moments in the show is in S1 E1, when Ted asks his driver Ollie to make a pit stop on their way to the pitch. They pull over at Tower Bridge, where he makes the joke that it’s not London Bridge because it’s fallen down.

If you’re visiting London, Tower Bridge is a must-see and is open for interior tours.

33. Natural History Museum

When Sam checks out some art with the Nigerian investor in S2, it was shot right here in the interior of the real museum.

This free museum is one of the most iconic in London, and it needs to be on your London itinerary!

Ted Lasso Film Locations: Beard After Dark S2 E9

In S2 after the devastating loss at Wembley, Beard goes on an all-episode night out that is pretty epic. Here are all the location that episode was filmed in.

34. Beard’s Night Out Begins: Wembley Park Station

exterior of the entrance to Wembley Park station

S2E9 starts here, when Beard takes off his his adventure that lasts the full night (and episode).

You see him get onto the southbound Metropolitan line train with the Wembley Park Station roundel in the background out the window.

35. Bones & Honey: 39 America Street

Exteriors of the posh club that Beard sneaks into on his great night out were shot here. This location was a Ted Lasso crew favorite, as it was also used to stand in for some locations in the later Amsterdam episode.

When Beard meets the lovely lady outside after he gets kicked out, you can see the street sign behind her.

36. The Avery James Hotel: Leonardo Royal Hotel London City

After Beard gets kicked off the bus, he wanders into this hotel, exteriors of which were shot here at the Leonardo Royal.  Interior of the hotel was shot elsewhere.

Ps…the old Routemaster bus that Beard rides in are not in use anymore and was just used for the show, but you can see them at the London Transport Museum.

It’s interesting that they use the Routemaster for this episode; it adds to the kind of Alice in Wonderland-quality of Beard’s adventure.

37. Beard Prays: Southwark Cathedral

interior of vast and ancient Southwark Cathedral in London, used as a ted lasso film location in london

During the thunderstorm, Beard stops at a church that has a neon cross. The interior shots when he prays were shot here at this historic cathedral, which is open for visitors and tours. No, it’s not a nightclub – those scenes were shot elsewhere.

Southwark Cathedral is open daily for visitors, and it’s well worth a stop on its own for its spooky and historic past.

Other Ted Lasso Locations Around London

38. West London Film Studios

Most of the series was filmed here, inside West London Film Studios. No, you can’t go inside. But you can image all of the actors coming here to work everyday!

39. Bad Breath Medicine: Busby’s Pharmacy, Chiswick

During the Christmas episode (S2E4), when Keeley, Phoebe and Roy go on a dentist hunt, they end up filling her prescription (and bribing the pharmacist for pen and paper) at this actual working pharmacy.

40. The Funeral: St. Andrew’s Church, Kingsbury

The interior shots for Rebecca’s dad’s funeral were shot here, while the exterior shots of the church were shot at Strawberry Hill House (also included in this list).

The scene where they are asked by the priest to lower their voices? Classic.

41. The Gala: Rivoli Ballroom

interior of the Rivoli Ballroom in London, used as a Ted Lasso film location

In S1 episode “For the Children,” Rebecca battles with Rupert during the Gala, and a bunch of other iconic things happened: Keeley and Jamie broke up, Rupert met his future wife, and Keeley and Rebecca grew a friendship.

Oh, and Nathan spit out a martini.

Ted Lasso London Tour: Final Thoughts

I don’t know if there will ever be a more feel-good show to be set and filmed in London. So many London shows are dark crime dramas, so this series is such a breath of fresh air.

Ted Lasso is a marvel from start to finish, and it’s so cool to be where the cast actually filmed this incredible series.
